What to do in Manaus

– Visit the Historic Center with the craft fair, there, the Municipal Market is one of the relics that lasted from the rubber golden age;

– House Museum Eduardo Ribeiro;

– MUSA: Amazon Museum – It’s located inside a Forest Reserve and shares its space with the Manaus Botanical Gardens. It has a 42 meters high tower with 3 platforms, the highest one reaches above the treetops;

– Manaus has a grounded beach that works all year (Ponta Negra). But if you want to have the experience of going to the beach in the rainforest, take a passanger motorboat in the Marina do Davi (Davi Harbor) to the Praia da Lua (Moon Beach);

– The tour’s last stop is in one of the indigenous villages near Tupé beach. Lately, Indians from the border of the Amazon with Colombia have been settling there. The villages follow the traditional patterns — and its residents stage indigenous rituals and sell arts and crafts to the tourists for a living.
